About the Business
Acupuncture, the most widely recognized aspect of Chinese Medicine, has been in use for over 2000 years. It is based on the concept of Qi - the body's motivating energy - which flows through the body in a network of acupuncture meridians.
When the flow of Qi is diminished or blocked, illness, discomfort or pain may result at a physical, mental or emotional level. Many factors, such as poor nutrition, infections, trauma or hereditary influences, as well as stress, overwork and our emotions can all disturb the delicate balance of our health. Chinese acupuncture aims to influence the resulting imbalance of Qi/energy by using ultra fine needles inserted at specific acupuncture points along the energy pathways, with the objective of stimulating the body's own natural healing response.
An acupuncture treatment is aimed at the root of any condition, not just the symptoms, and this approach can lead to a more permanent resolution of the problem.
